Scott Stapp- Wendover!!
On November 13th Scott Stapp was putting on a concert at the Peppermill Concert Hall in Wendover. Of course I bought tickets as soon as I knew. I have loved Creed/Scott Stapp for 11 years. So growing up my mom never thought I was old enough to go to one of his concerts. Well since I have "grown up" I went to a Creed concert last fall at the E Center and then Scott Stapp (he is also a solo artist) on the 13th. It was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo fun! I of course bought VIP tickets because they were really cheap compared to buying them for Creed. We drove to Salt Lake and caught the "Fun Bus." The bus cost $15 a person. On the way there we played bingo and got served drinks. It was interesting. But riding the bus you get free stuff. Each of us got a free buffet at the casino (which would normally cost $34), $5 in cash, a free cocktail (around $8) lucky bucks (to use gambling). So the bus ride paid for itself and then some. We got to the Peppermill and had some time to spare so we went and ate at the buffet and walked around and I tried some slots. Then it got to be about 5 oclock. The concert didn't start until 7. Having VIP tickets you were supposed to be there early. I was told to be there at 6 oclock. For all the things you got having a VIP ticket didn't add up. There was no way all of that could get done in like a half hour. So I told Rory we better walk down there just to see. We get there and get our tickets and they tell me I was supposed to be there at 4:30!! I about flipped out. I was so mad. I was worried I had missed meeting him. Come to find out I had missed the soundcheck and the meet and greet was about to start. So we hurry inside and the guy there tells us just to go take a seat and wait for Scott to come out. Well on my way to my seat I look up and Scott is coming towards me. I was not prepared to meet him yet and I didn't know what to do or say. I was starstruck and sooo nervous! He shook my hand and asked me how I was doing and what my name was and said it was nice to meet me. Then he takes my ticket from my hand and signs it. Then he signs a poster and gives it to me then asks if I would like a picture. So I'm still just standing there like an idiot just in la la land. Rory ends up standing by Scott. Rory told him I probably better stand by him. So we switched places and I still had my coat on so Rory made sure I took it off. LOL. I am glad Rory was there to take care of me. Then they took the picture and it was onto the next person. I bought a shirt, a beanie and a keychain. The concert started and I had front row seats where I was able to touch the stage while sitting. It was FANTASTIC! I had so much fun and it was a great show!

Preschool
So today was Syd's first day of preschool. She has been talking about it for a really long time. All day about every 5 minutes she would ask me if it was time to go. Finally, 12:30 rolled around. We got to her school and immediatley she was in heaven. She was grinning from ear to ear. She found her cubby hole and hung up her backpack. Then she was off to play with the toys. I lingered for a minute and she turns to me and says, "Mom, aren't you leaving yet?" Talk about a dagger to the heart. Surprisingly though, I never cried. I thought I would. Maybe when it is time for Kindergarten. There are 15 kids in her class including her. It looks like there are only 3 boys, so I know she will make lots of girlfriends. My little girl is growing up. Sad, but part of life.

It's Been Forever!
So I haven't been too good about keeping my blog updated. So I will try and do it now. I think the same old stuff has been going on. Sydnee started dance last Friday. She still loves it. She will be starting preschool on September 8th. She is so excited for that. She is getting so big. It makes me sad. I am glad I still get to have her home with me for one more year.
Ashlyn is growing up to and talks really good. My girls finally like to play together and I love watching them.
3 weeks ago we put our house up for sale. We decided we would like to build again and hope it sells soon. That's about all for now. I will have to take some pictures of my cute girls and get them posted soon.

Potty Time
So my little independent Ashlyn is potty trained. Hurray! She seemed like she was ready to learn when she was around turning 2. Well we got the potty out and she never would do anything with it. Well a few months later (now) I walked past the bathroom and saw her sitting on it. She stood up and there was pee in it. So it began and she has done incredibly well and doesn't wear a diaper anymore. She is only 27 months and I am amazed she is potty trained already. I am proud of my little Ashlyn, but not surprised one bit. She has no problem at all going on the big potty either. All we have to do is lift her up on it and she does the rest. Thank goodness. Now I don't have to deal with emptying and cleaning out the little potty. :)

My Little Dancer
This is Sydnee's 2nd time doing a dance class. She had one in the fall, and now this spring. They had a photographer come and take their pictures in their costume. I think they will turn out really cute. Her recital is on June 4th. I can't wait to see my little dancer!

Sick, Sick, Sick
I finally decided to update my blog. Sorry, it's been a while. Well, you didn't miss anything. We have been sick for about 3 months, and that is about all there is involving our lives. One cute thing that has happened while sick is Ashlyn was coughing so hard that she puked. When she did she said, "mommy, I spilled." I felt so bad. Not fun at all and I am super stressed. I guess there is one thing that happened. My little baby girl Ashlyn turned 2 at the end of March. I cannot believe it! Right when she first woke up she saw her presents sitting on the table, and climbed up and tried to start opening them. We had to hide them from her. It was fun and she likes the presents she got. She got a little train you can push around the track, some crayons, and a dump truck to play with outside. Grandma and grandpa got her a cute outfit and a puzzle, and the other grandparents got her cute outfits. She will be one cute dressed little girl! Her birthday was sesame street themed because she loves elmo. That's about all for now.

Poor baby girl
Ashlyn started a fever last Thursday. It continued on all day and all day and night friday. Saturday she had no fever but had a little cough and runny nose. Sunday she had a horrible cough, where everytime she would cough, it was hard enough to make her puke. Thank goodness for my little green shampooer. You would never know there was puke all over my living room. Anyways, today her fever was back and still a horrible cough. She is the saddest looking girl ever. A runny nose, and the saddest little eyes you will ever see. They have remained only half way open since about thursday. They are so droopy and swollen looking. She just wants me to hold her and she is so miserable, and is not able to sleep very well. I took her to the specialty hospital instacare today. She was given tylenol and a breathing treatment. We stayed there until her fever went down. She was given pedialyte and by the time we left she had perked up a little bit. So, the diagnosis-bronchiolitis (RSV infection). I feel so bad for her. I hate to see her so miserable. Hopefully she will start feeling better in a few days. I miss my little stinker girl running all over the place and making me laugh.
As you know I am an independent scentsy consultant. The new spring/summer catalog is coming out march 1st, with new scents, warmers and other new products. I am really excited and interested in getting more business and making this more of a job, because it is something I love doing. If you, or anyone you know would be interested in hosting a party, or joining my team, please send them my way. My website is at the top of my blog. You can go there to join scentsy, order products, or sign up to host. Also you can give me a call or email me. All that info is also provided on my scentsy webpage.
Other news, I went to the eye doctor last wednesday. The verdict-glasses. ugh. Good news, I only need to wear them to drive or watch t.v. So next time you see me, I may look a little different. :)

Xmas, Random Events
Obviously I am not good and keeping my blog up to date. Anyways, this is old news, but we had a great Christmas. Christmas Eve we went up to my brother's house. The girls love being with their cousins! We had a lot of fun and had dinner and chatted and just got to be together. Christmas the girls woke up full of excitement to see what Santa had brought them. The were really spoiled this year.
Some of their loot
Ashlyn enjoying some candy
No idea what is going on here. xmas morning
For New Year's we did nothing. We stayed home and watched a movie and had popcorn. Not exciting, but the girls enjoyed it. Rory was able to have time off for the holidays which was really nice. Myself and the girls loved having him home.
Today Sydnee starts her dance class again. She keeps going back and forth about whether or not she wants to do it. We will see how it goes this month and decide to keep doing it or not.
Other news my sister-in-law got engaged!! I am so excited for her! He is a great guy and we are all excited to have him join our family. But what it means for me is it's time to get in shape!! Wedding pictures are forever and I don't want to look horrible in them! I am excited to get in shape and to be able to get dressed up and pretty in a dress for the wedding.
